Step-by-step process for Ports
How do I put in an order?
Open PortMaster in dropdown menu in Klappir Platform on the top right corner and select PortMaster
Navigate to Deliveries on navigation menu (left side of the screen). There you should see all the notifications from SafeSeaNet.
There are two ways to put in an order in PortMaster: Using the New Order function, or using the SafeSeaNet list (preferred if possible)
Using the New Order option Step-by-step
At the top of the list there should be a button marked New Order
Press it and it will pull up a menu and there you can select the type of Waste you want to discharge.
In this step we’ll select Garbage for demonstration purposes but all options will lead to a similar menu.
Select the Location from the drop down menu
Input the terminal name
Select the Reception Provider
Select the Treatment Provider (if different from the Reception Provider)
Select the time that the ship will be in harbour (Keep in mind that it’s best to have the waste bin at the port when the ship arrives)
Select the time that the waste bin is no longer needed
Input the ship IMO number
Input the ship name
Input the gross tonnage
Input the name of the Owner/Operator
Input any Distinctive Numbers or Letters on the ship
Select the flag state from the drop down menu
Select the type of ship from the drop down menu
If the type of ship is not in the menu then please input it in the Type of ship (if other) field
Input the ship email address.
Now scroll down a bit further and we get to the Garbage discharge part.
Input the right amount of garbage that is going to be discharged. When it’s all correct, press order service.
The order should now have been sent to the Service Provider. You will see the status or your order change as the Service Provider is processing it. From a yellow dot (Order Pending Response), and blue (Order Confirmed), to green (Receipt Issued). You will also see if your order has been cancelled with a grey dot).
What if I inputted the wrong information? No worries, find your order in the list and press the update button. That brings you to menu again. There you can also cancel the order.
Do I get a receipt from the reception provider? Yes! When the reception provider knows exactly how much waste was in the waste bin, they’ll make a receipt inside the system which will then show up in your list and will be sent to your email inbox directly as well. Then there will be a green light next to it. Press view and it’ll bring up a PDF viewer.
Putting in an order using the SafeSeaNet list (preferred if possible)
When a ship sends in a notification through SafeSeaNet it will populate into the visible in your PortMaster home page view.
Using the SafeSeaNet list option Step-by-step
From that list, you can then simply find the ship you want to put in an order for and press the Order Service button.
That should bring up the Waste delivery menu. The difference here is that some of the fields have been filled in using the information from SafeSeaNet. This saves time and work. You can then fill in the rest and press order service. Then you’ll see the order with a yellow light next to it in the list.

In some instances the port is also a treatment provider. In those instances it has to respond to orders from agents. See How to use PortMaster for: Service Providers.
