Purchasing Carbon Credits through ICR within Klappir's Platform: Step-by-Step Guide

This guide explains how to purchase carbon credits using Klappir’s platform, integrated with the International Carbon Registry (ICR). Follow the steps below to complete your purchase.

 


Step 1: Access the Carbon Credit Purchase Section

  1. Log in to your Klappir account.
  2. Navigate to the Carbon Credits section on the dashboard.
    • Click on the ICR Integration button to access the ICR purchasing page.
    • Note: Ensure your email is correctly linked to your Klappir account for receiving confirmations.

By clicking ICR in the Platform, you will be redirected to an ICRxKlappir site.


Step 2: Choose a Carbon Credit Bundle or Customize It

  1. Review the available options for purchasing carbon credits
  2. To customize your selection, choose a pre-made bundle and click the Settings icon to add or remove specific projects.
  3. Finalize your choice by clicking Confirm Selection or proceed with a pre-made bundle by clicking Select.


Step 3: Enter the Number of Credits

  1. In the Credit Amount field, enter the desired number of credits (e.g., "10" for ten credits).
  2. Review the total price displayed below the input field to ensure it fits your budget.


Step 4: Define Beneficiary Details

  1. Complete the required fields in the Beneficiary Details section:
    • Beneficiary Name: Enter the name of the individual or organization.
    • Retirement Reason: Select a reason from the dropdown menu or choose "Other" to provide a custom reason.
    • Retirement Comment: Add optional comments for the retirement certificate.
  2. Double-check all information for accuracy before proceeding.


Step 5: Review and Confirm Your Order

  1. Verify the following details:
    • Selected bundle or custom bundle.
    • Total quantity and price.
    • Beneficiary information.
      2. Click Complete Your Order to finalize
  • Pro Tip: Take a screenshot of your order summary for future reference.


Step 6: Receive Confirmation and Fulfillment Emails

  1. After completing your purchase, you will receive two emails:
    • Order Confirmation Email: Sent immediately after the order is placed, containing order details.
    • Order Fulfillment Email: Includes the retirement certificate and confirmation of credit transfer once processed.
  2. Retain both emails for your records.


Step 7: Manage Your Credits

  1. Use the Accept Credits link in the fulfillment email to access your ICR account.
  2. On the ICR platform, you can:
    • View your purchased credits.
    • Set up an organizational profile.
    • Publicly display emissions and credit retirements.
