What is a subsystem in the Klappir Platform?
A subsystem is a smaller workspace inside your main Klappir account. It lets you share only part of your data with selected users without giving them access to your full system (on the Impact Plan). You can create subsystems for your organization based on different parameters such as:
Subsidiaries
Divisions
Regions
Type of assets
Etc.
The primary user can share the workload of data collection by creating a subsystem and delegating tasks to a person that is made responsible for that subsystem.
Why would I use a subsystem?
Subsystems help you:
Delegate tasks and responsibilities
Organize operations by region, division, or asset type
Give each team access to the specific data that applies to their work.
Keep one consolidated main account for reporting
How does data flow between a subsystem and the main account?
Data can flow both ways:
The main account can push data down to subsystems
Subsystems can import data that streams up to the main account
You either choose the sharing up or sharing down function. To avoid double counting, it is important for to establish a protocol. Decide internally who is responsible for updating assets and asset groups.
For instance:
If the main Klappir Platform account shares data down to the subsystem the users of that account are responsible for keeping assets and asset groups up to date. If they do not keep the asset list and asset groups up to date, the data might not flow correctly to the subsystems.
βIf the Subsystem controls the flow to the main Klappir account, the users of that system are responsible for keeping the assets and asset groups up to date. If they do not, the data might not flow correctly to the main Klappir Platform account.
Create asset groups in your parent system
Email [email protected] to request a new subsystem with:
Legal entity name
Registration number
Name of the asset group to be shared down
Add users who will manage data for that subsystem
All assets and data linked to those asset groups appear automatically in the subsystem.
