How do I activate a public Data Connections?

Find out which data connection partners are available now, and activate them to stream data directly from selected suppliers into your system on the Klappir platform.

Data connections allow you to activate specific data flows directly from a partner into your system on the Klappir platform on the Growth and Impact Plans. For instance: Find a waster partner with an available data connection to activate automate the collection of your waste data from that supplier.

With data connections, you will get:

  • Limiting manual entry mishaps: Accurate, verified waste data flows directly from providers into Klappir.

  • Greater visibility, clarity and real-time insights: Eliminate lengthy spreadsheets. Data connections enable live tracking across all sites, boosting operational efficiency.

  • Reliable data flows: Remove data hunting and guesswork. Direct connections deliver auditable, high-quality inputs without the extra workload.

List of data partners with active connections: Iceland

Waste: Hringrás, ÍGF (Íslenska Gámafélagið), Terra

Fuel: N1, Olís, Skeljungur

Business Travel: Icelandair

Water and heating: Veitur, HS Veitur

Electricity: Most suppliers in Iceland have a data connection (blue dot) that you can activate directly from Value chain>My value chain

Step 1: Contact Eimskip

Send an email to your contact at Eimskip and request that your data is sent directly to Klappir.


Step 2: Monthly Data Transfer

Eimskip will send your data to Klappir once per month.


​Your data will be imported around the 15th in the following month.

For instance, data covering January 1st – January 31st will be imported into your Klappir Platform around February 15th.

List of data partners with active connections: Denmark

Electricity: Eloverblik

Eloverblik provides access to electricity data from all electricity providers in Denmark. Therefore, you do not need to activate this connection in your value chain; instead, you will fetch and refresh your API token (see guide below).

Step 1: Log in with your company’s MitID
Use your organization’s MitID Erhverv to log into Eloverblik and access API settings. Note: If your company has multiple subsidiaries, you might need separate MitIDs to access each one.

Step 2: Navigate to API Access

  • Open the navigation menu

  • Select “API ADGANG” / “API ACCESS”

Step 3: Create API Token

  • Click “Opret token” / “Create token”

  • Give the token a descriptive name so it’s easy to remember and identify later

  • Click “Create” to generate the token

Step 4: Copy and Save the Token

  • Copy the token immediately as you won’t be able to see it again

  • Paste it in a secure location

Step 5: Send the Token to Klappir
Email the token to: [email protected]
Note: When you have the API token, send it to service at Klappir to finalize the data connection. Your token will be valid for a year at which time you will have to refresh your token following the step-by-step guidance above.

Note: Marius Pedersen A/S offers an API solution that transfers your waste data directly to Klappir.

Please note that a separate agreement with Marius Pedersen A/S must be signed, and a one-time fee DKK 4.500 excl. VAT will be charged.
