The power of data quality

High-quality sustainability data is key: It powers regulatory compliance and forms the engine for sustainability impact.

The power of quality data

Stakeholders – from investors and clients to employees – need to assess how a company’s ESG performance compares to others in order to identify which organizations are actively building resilience and future-proofing both their business and value chain.

Without comparable high-quality data, sustainability management become difficult to interpret let alone benchmark. Whether it is tracking carbon emissions, water usage, supply chain impacts, or social equity metrics, organizations are realizing that bad data can lead to bad decisions and reputational risk.

How Klappir's sustainability platform supports sustainability management based on high-quality data?

Klappir uses ISO 14064, The Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) the European  Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and other industry leading methodologies as  guidelines in the design of the Klappir Sustainability Platform, both the database structure and  user interface modules.

Klappir's framework and methodology for creating and maintaining robust ESG management is built on the key concepts, principles, frameworks and best practices for quantifying and reporting on greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability.

  • Relevance: Ensure the GHG inventory appropriately reflects the GHG emissions of the  company and serves the decision-making needs of users – both internal and external to  the company.
  • Completeness:  Account for and report on all GHG emission sources and activities within  the chosen inventory boundary. Disclose and justify any specific exclusions
  • Consistency: Use consistent methodologies to allow for meaningful comparisons of  emissions over time. Transparently document any changes to the data, inventory  boundary, methods, or any other relevant factors in the time series.
  • Accuracy: Ensure that the quantification of GHG emissions is systematically neither over  nor under actual emissions, as far as can be judged, and that uncertainties are reduced  as far as practicable. Achieve sufficient accuracy to enable users to make decisions with  reasonable assurance as to the integrity of the reported information.
  • Transparency: Address all relevant issues in a factual and coherent manner, based on a  clear audit trail. Disclose any relevant assumptions and make appropriate references to  the accounting and calculation methodologies and data sources used.

Confidence, trust and collective progress:
